Huntress - L.J. Smith
I'm still (obviously) finding this series immensely readable. But maybe some of the charm is wearing off.... This is the first book to introduce the 'wild power' plot line and I'm not loving it. But, as always, I do love the lead protagonist. Smith's strength is her ability to create strong, smart, likeable heroines without Mary Sue-ing her readers to death. I'm also not typically a fan of the redeemed bad boy storyline (What the hell am I doing reading teen vampire novels???) but, again, Smith handles this rather trite plot device with a grace and subtlety not usually found in the genre. I shall continue...
