Nurtured by Love: The Classic Approach to Talent Education - Shinichi Suzuki, Waltraud Suzuki
I love many of the ideas behind the Suzuki method - my daughter has been taking Suzuki violin for almost 4 years. So, it's true there is a lot of good stuff in this book. Suzuki certainly led an interesting life, but overall it's such a bizarre, disjointed little book. He uses weird (sometimes inaccurate) examples to bolster his arguments and is (in my oppinion) a bit too dogmatic in his approach. Ah well, the good news is his ideas have inspired, what I believe, is a truly fantastic approach to early music education.
