I never get tired of stories about tender hearted beasts - The Story of Ferdinand and Herbert the Timid Dragon are some of my favorites of all time! Droofus is no Herbert, but this is still another worthy story to add to the stack.
One day a dense fog separates baby Droofus from his fearsome Dragon pack. Now on his own Droofus finds he struggles with his Dragon instincts - namely eating his fellow living creatures. He opts to become a vegetarian and lives a happy, but rather humdrum existence until he meets a local farm boy.
This is a very fun book to read with a young child as they're very anxious to discover HOW Droofus loses his head. Rest assured that the ending is very pleasant and quite funny!
