Scary (and I mean *really* scary) picture books are few and far between. 'Tis a pity because lots of children genuinely love being scared. And there's something about a picture book that is a little 'safer' than a novel. So, for me, this is a nice addition to a much needed genre. The story is truly suspenseful, but not over the top.
