Dragonfly's Tale - Kristina Rodanas
Very nice illustrations - they're what drew me to the book in the first place. The story is okay, but a little all over the place - at once a didactic tale about treating other with compassion AND not being wasteful, but ALSO an origin/explanation of the natural world type tale. The author also mentions that this is a highly simplified version of a Zuni tale. How simplified? What are the changes? No one knows because she doesn't give any more information. I love me some endnotes people! Still, all in all, it was decently told and beautifully illustrated.
