Who built the pyramids? Was it the pharaoh? The chief minister? The high priest? The quarry master? The foreman? The stonemason? The artist? The laborers? The water carriers? Depends on your point of view as this thought provoking picture book points out. The text is rhythmic and will be easily understood and enjoyed by kids. I'm struggling a bit with the art though. I liked the style, but I'm not so sure how well they fit with the text and topic. My kid wanted to know why all the Egyptians were so fat!
