Sindbad: From the Tales of the Thousand and One Nights - Anonymous, Ludmila Zeman
I became a devoted Ludmila Zeman fan after reading her brilliant [b:Gilgamesh|768871|Gilgamesh the King (The Gilgamesh Trilogy, #1)|Ludmila Zeman|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1320466145s/768871.jpg|754933] picture book adaptations. Since then I have been eager to finally get my hands on and read her adaptation of Sinbad. It was just about everything I hoped it would be. The illustrations are just amazing - so unique and so detailed. I can't get enough of them!

Just like [b:Gilgamesh|768871|Gilgamesh the King (The Gilgamesh Trilogy, #1)|Ludmila Zeman|http://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1320466145s/768871.jpg|754933], this is the first of a trilogy and I can't wait to read the next two installments!

If you read other reviews you will find that some object to the violence in this version and it is rather gruesome in parts, but that's fairly true to the story. If you want a softer version definitely look elsewhere.
