This is a sequel of sorts to the fabulous The Boy, the Bear, the Baron, the Bard. I absolutely LOVED that book so I was so excited to see there was another and that we'd get to meet up with the boy and the bear yet again. But, meh, I was a little disappointed. Without the Elizabethan London backdrop (this one is set in a magical fairy forest à la Midsummer Night's Dream) a lot of the drama and charm is missing. Oh well, it's not really bad, but my expectations were pretty high.
