Review
I really have a soft spot for illustrations like this. They represent an aesthetic from times past that just doesn't exist in picture books any more. I suppose they're rather cutesy and not very sophisticated, but I find them very appealing. And besides that this is a sweet and simple story about a little duckling finding his way back to his family. It also happens to be an effective little counting that helps reinforce numbers up to 10.
