Review
I'm really a bit of a poetry-phobe myself and I'm trying very hard not to inflict my prejudices on my daughter. So, when I saw this reviewed on one of my favorite blogs I figured I should give it a shot. Bonus that I found it on amazon used for 20 cents!
So, had this sitting around for about a week before we decided to give it a go (I really am phobic!). But now that we've had the chance to enjoy this for several nights I'm completely thrilled with it and so is the kid!
Selections include pieces by Emily Dickinson, Alfred Lord Tennyson, William Wordsworth, Edward Lear, William Blake, Robert Louis Stevenson, Ogden Nash and much, much more! And they are all adorably illustrated by Joan Walsh Anglund. Her work is a bit cutesy, but I find her stuff grows on me.
