Review

Really valiant effort to do something inventive with the alphabet book genre. In this one we have words from A to Z that all contain the word 'ant' - vigilANTe, MutANT, etc. All are accompanied by quirky, funny illustrations that definitely had me chuckling. The problem with this book is the problem facing all 'sophisticated' alphabet books - defining the target audience. It doesn't actually teach the alphabet, but instead entertains and enhances vocabulary. That's fine with me, of course, but it's kind of a gray marketing demographic. Nonetheless, still fun and still recommended.
