Love! Deep, intense, primal love is what I feel for this book. It speaks to my inner child of the 70s/80s in a profound way. I can't believe that I didn't encounter this as a child, but I have now and it's better late than never. This is a book that I would have adored and pored over as a child.
It's illustrations like this that *get* me and don't let go.
And that's just a little sample...The inventive, funny, engaging illustrations are bound to delight as is the peppy rhyming text.
And the best part is that the powers that be in the publishing world (Purple House Press to be exact) have produced a truly lovely reprint of this wonderful book. Run, don't walk, to your local library or bookstore to make sure you have this one in time for the holiday season!
